Manoj Tibrewal Aakash is a young Indian Journalist. He has been working with Doordarshan News, New Delhi as an Anchor & Senior Correspondent since January 2006. Doordarshan News is India’s Public Broadcaster and most watched news channel.

Manoj Tibrewal Aakash hosts a weekly half-hour one-to-one interview-based Talk Show – ‘EK MULAQAT’ on Doordarshan News. The show currently runs on Saturdays 2130 hrs with repeat Sundays 2330 hrs Indian time.

Several Indian Cabinet Ministers, Members of Indian Parliament, industrialists and Bollywood personalities have featured in this programme. These include Ambika Soni, Jyotiraditya Scindia, Naveen Jindal, Jitin Prasada, Sachin Pilot, Deepender Singh Hooda, Vilasrao Deshmukh, Deepika Padukone, Saina Nehwal, Javed Akhtar, Swami Ramdev, Harsh Mander, Mohinder Amarnath, Dr. Naresh Trehan, Priya Dutt, H.K.Dua, Dr.Karan Singh, Harsh Pati Singhania  and Dr.S.Y.Quraishi.

In August 2010, on the show, noted Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone praised the young Indian Member of Parliament, Rahul Gandhi as a “classical role model” for youth and expressed the hope that he leads India as prime minister one day. The news was carried prominently by several news agencies and websites.

Manoj Tibrewal Aakash has a deep knowledge about the politics of India, especially Uttar Pradesh. He has 10 very successful years of progressively responsible professional experience in journalism. He has covered several prominent assignments for DD News such as President, Prime Minister, Parliament of India, Home Ministry, External Affairs Ministry, Information and Broadcasting Ministry etc.

Manoj Tibrewal Aakash started his career from India Today. He also worked for The Indian Express and Jansatta Express in Utter Pradesh. He interviewed India’s first woman President - Pratibha Devi Singh Patil – soon after her election on 21.07.2007.

Manoj Tibrewal Aakash also interviewed Congress Leader Rahul Gandhi for Jansatta Express on 24.4.2004 during his Eastern U.P. visit in the 2004 parliamentary elections.
